The PumPum Patch

At least that is what my daughter calls pumpkins. It is so cute. We went to the pumpkin patch two weeks ago and I am just not getting around to posting some pictures. I am such a procrastinator. But at least I managed to remember to bring the camera so I could get some pictures. The older I get the worse my memory is and I am always forgetting my camera. LOL Anyway here are the pictures -

Do not say he looks like Obama. Although he likes Obama he hates it when people tell him that they look the same. LOL

Molly and mommy!
And now a video of Molly climbing through some huge pumpums!

What is wrong

With me today? For some reason, I feel completely overwhelmed and I have not done anything yet. I just have this feeling that something is wrong and I don't like this feeling at all. Maybe it is just because I woke up with a migraine that is finally starting to subside. It started last night around two in the morning. So I am very tired today and a little cranky, so of course the kids pick up on that and are cranky right back. Luckily my husband is not being cranky yet.
I need to clean house today. Does someone want to come do it for me? I also need to make lots of tarts and get a few orders ready. I have new tarts now. I am now offering punk tarts. Each tart is shaped like a skull. I love doing fun tarts.
I am starting some new prospects to expand the business. I sure hope that it gets some bites. Money is tight and getting tighter. That probably is not helping my feeling of being overwhelmed today. I do believe the Lord is going to help me get through this, but I also believe that means helping myself to receive his help. I hope this is the direction that I need to go in. I a taking a bit of a chance with some stuff, but I am hoping it will pay off.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I cannot believe how busy I have been for the last week. Will I never get a break? So many things have happened that I can hardly keep up anymore.
My son was asked by a girl to go to her homecoming dance. He was supposed to go over the weekend. I have decided that this is no girl that is good enough for my son. She actually called him up last Wednesday and changed her mind. She was afraid that she would hurt her girlfriends feelings because her girlfriend did not have a date. I felt bad for Lucas. He does not talk much to me about his feelings (14 years old) but I know that it must have really bothered him. I need to do something special for him soon!
And of course Molly has been doing the potty thing for a while now. But we have to keep on top of her. She is doing really good with it though. Right now we are only doing it at home and when we go anywhere she gets a diaper. She still has a few accidents but it is getting better.
I have been super busy doing stuff for The Tart Shack. I have signed on to be a sponsor for The Greath Cloth diaper hunt. If you are not sure what that is, click on my site. On the front page you will see an icon for the GCDH. It will tell you all about it. It is lots of fun and you can win lots of cool prizes. I made 100 samples last week for the sponsor packages. WOW! That was a whole lot of pouring.
Then I also signed up for a store called Out of the Box Sampler. You can check it out at www.outoftheboxsampler.com. Stores make samples of their products and send it to this store. The store then makes boxes and turns around and sells it. This is a great way to check out a whole bunch of WAHM (work at home mom) stores all at one time. The boxes sell quick, so if you want one, you better start getting ready to stalk the store. I made over 40 samples for that one.
Then, and I am not complaining (lol), I had a whole lot of orders over the last two weeks keeping me very busy! I am so grateful for all the orders that I have gotten. It is really going to help my family as we are about to go into tough for us as we head into unknown territory and I can definately use all the extra money I can get right now.
So if I have not been around as much, you know why. I am busy trying to get caught up with everything.

Can you make water?

Molly can make water! And she gets so excited when she does. Two days ago, she was sitting on her potty seat. She loves to sit on the seat but never does anything. That changed two days ago. She was sitting there and all of a sudden got a funny look on her face. Stood up and yelled "Mommy Water". Yep, her pee is water according to her. She was so excited. Then yesterday, she went potty three times and each time exclaimed "Water". Then she picks up the potty seat and runs (me very close behind so she does not spill) to the bathroom so she can dump it in the big toilet and flush. She is so proud of herself. I guess my baby is growing up!

A cute story to go along with that. She was talking to my mom on the phone yesterday and I told her to tell Nana she went potty. She walked the phone over to the potty seat and held it in front of the seat so that Nana could see the potty. My little goofball!

Halloween

Halloween is probably my favorite time of year. If you ask me, it should be a national holiday and require everyone to get a week off of work and school. :0) This past weekend, we went and bought costumes. This is a picture of what Molly will look like. And anyone that knows her will tell you that the costume is quite fitting for my child. So many people tell me that Molly is an angel, and then they get to know her. To make it better, I decided to be the very same thing for Halloween. Like mother like daughter.
My husband is going to be a Fart-O-Meter. He is such a goof. It even comes with a gas mask. Then again, my son takes after him and is pretty goofy as well. My son got one of those illusion costumes. He is going to be riding a pink flamingo.

The Giggle Girl

The quality is not the best. This was at my brothers house yesterday. Molly loves her Uncle Paul and thought it was hilarious every time she would kiss him and he would wipe it off. So turn the sound up and listen to that giggle. I love love love a laugh that does not stop!

Back to Work

Well, my husband is finally working again. Unfortunately it is out of town so I will only see him on the weekends. It is harder this time than last time because Molly keeps asking for her daddy. She did correct me yesterday though. It was cute. She signed where is daddy and I verbally said daddy is working, and I did not sign because I was being a bit lazy. She looked at me and signed daddy work a few times. So I had to sign it back before she would stop.

I just hate doing the single parent thing. I did it for 10 years with Lucas and I always said if I had more kids, I would be married so I was not doing it on my own. And look. I am married now and doing it on my own. :::sigh::: I can't complain too much though because it is a blessing that he is working again. And this company really likes Sean and it looks like they are going to be busy for a while. I just wish it was a little closer to home.

Don't you just love this picture of him? It my absolute favorite picture. I took it when we were out on the boat. He loves his boat and is always so happy to be out on it, as you can tell from the huge smile! He is such a cutie if I do say so myself.

Just Another Monday

I guess it is back to the grind today. We had a great weekend. We left early Saturday to go to the water park hotel. Molly and Lucas both had a great time. It was nice to be able to get away from everything for a few days.
Now I need a day or two to feel better. I feel like I have been run over by a train. It sucks getting old, especially when you have a bad back.
My husband is working! I am so happy that he is working. He has been laid off almost all year. We only have 1 week of unemployment left and it is only partial as we only have just a little over $100 left in the unemployment "bank". We can't file again until January and having been laid off so much, it won't be a lot of money. Hopefully he stays working with this company for a while. The union business manager said this company has been really busy so hopefully it will stay that way.

A vacation!

I am so excited. For the first time in three years, we are actually doing something that can be considered a vacation. We are going to one of those hotels that have the inside water park. The reservation is for tomorrow but we get to do the water park all day tomorrow and all day on Sunday! It is going to be so nice. I will post all about it when we get home on Sunday!

I have decided that I am not going to tell Lucas until we get there. I will tell him that we are going camping. He hates having to go camping so he will complain until he sees where we are. I am mean like that. :0)

Here are a few pictures of Lucas and Molly feeding the ducks two weeks ago. Molly loves feeding the ducks. She is quite obsessed with them. :0)

Hate being sick

I am so tired of being sick. I hate chest colds. The constant coughing is not good for a back that is already bad. And the headaches it is giving me! I do think that I feel a little bit better than I did yesterday, so I am hoping I will be better soon.

On the brighter side of things, I want to thank my friend Krista! She posted on her blog about how she does not ask the "What did you do today" question to her kids because it never ends well. I kind of chuckled when I read it because I ask my son that every day in hopes that he will talk to me and every day I get an attitude because I asked the question. So I took Krista's idea and I asked my son to tell me one good thing that happened to him. He was shocked by the question. And I found out that he did not have any homework, as in that was the good thing. I probably would not have known if I had asked the age old "How was your day?" or "What did you do today?" questions. It was nice having a short conversation with my son for a change.

I love having all my friends online. When it comes down to it, I have made so many good friends over the last three years that I have been posting. Even with the occasional drama posts, I would not want it any other way. When I am sick, like now, they all tell me they hope I feel better. When something horrible happens, they all think about me or pray for me. And without them even knowing it, I get ideas on how to raise my children. Like with Krista. She probably had no idea how a few sentences in her blog would affect another family. I also wonder at the same time how all the things that are negative really affect other people. Words mean so much, both the negative and the positive.

New to this

I have never blogged anything in my life. LOL This is completly new to me. Heck, I don't even know what to say. But all my computer friends have blogs, so I had to get one too. I felt so left out. Now maybe I can fit in with them.

Here is a picture of Molly. She used to be a sweet baby. Now she is a terrible toddler. She sure gives me a run for my money. She is so different than my son was at the same age. My son was such a well behaved toddler that people praised me for being a wonderful mother. I can say that I don't get those praises any longer.

Of course, my son is now a teenager, so that causes a whole other set of issues. It is definately interesting having a grumpy teenager and a terrible toddler in the house at the same time. Here is a picture of Lucas. This is part of our last family pictures together, a year ago. It is time to get new pictures taken. He is such a handsome young man! He may drive me nuts, but I am very proud of him and his accomplishments!
