Testing has started

I am very excited. At least one of the packages that I have mailed out in the last few days has arrived. The customer so far loves the lip balm and is impressed with the size of the tea light. I can't wait to start getting the reviews in so that I can go forward.
It is another cold day in Ohio. They had on the news that we have broken a record. The previous record for the most snow on the ground (not at one snow fall, but accumulated on the ground) for the month of January was 19 inches. This was back in 1978 when there was a blizzard. This year, no blizzard, just snow, snow, snow. There are 21 inches on the ground right now and more in the forecast for today and tomorrow. I feel like we are stuck in winter and will never get out.
It was a long drive to work today. So many accidents. A few times, I felt my van try to slip on the ice. I hope by the time I drive home that the ice will have done the work. Black ice is no fun to drive on.

More Snow!

This snow is getting insane. It just keeps piling up on top of what we already have. Enough is enough. Here are some pictures of the additional snow that we have gotten today.

New Products

I am very excited. I have two new products that I have made for my store and I am hoping my testers are going to love the products as much as I loved making it. I am now making scented tea lights and lip balm. Once I start getting some feedback, as long as it is all good, I am going to add the items to my store front. I just love finding new things to make. It really is an addiction. I always tell myself that I have to stop because it is too many items, but I just can't help myself. It is like every time I buy something, and I manage to take care of it, I feel like I can add one more thing to the list. You should have seen my husbands face. He was none to pleased. Good thing he loves me so much.

Cold!!!!!!

I am completely tired of the snow and so tired of the cold. I am sitting here at work and my feet are freezing so I have my little heater by my feet. However, my hands are freezing as well, but since the heater is by my feet I have to suffer. In a little while, by feet will warm up and I will move the heater up but then my feet will start to freeze again. It has been like this for two weeks now and I am tired of it all.
Don't get me wrong, I love a little bit of snow and playing in the snow, but enough all ready! Here are some happy pictures of my kids playing in the snow from two weeks ago.

Slacker

I am such a slacker! I can't believe that I have not posted to my blog in forever. I really need to work on that. It is becoming so hard to manage my time and get everything done in the day that I want to get done. I also procrastinate really bad, so that surely does not help. I am so bad at saying "I will do it later" and when later comes I say the same thing. Thank you Leslie for sending me a note this morning and telling me that I need to get my butt in gear. I love you sister!
Since I am so bad, I guess I should post some Christmas pictures. I guess better late than never! LOL

This is Lucas getting a special shirt on Christmas. Ever since Barack Obama started to run for president, everyone told Lucas that he looked just like Obama. So I had a very good friend from www.paintmearainbow.com make a special shirt for Lucas. I am not sure if you can read it, but it says "Don't ask me to do anything. I am busy running the country." He loved his shirt! Thank you so much Tammy you are awesome. She is awesome to work with and if you check out her store, tell her that I sent you!

Molly had an absolute blast! She loved loved loved Christmas! She had so much fun opening everything. I love how in the middle picture she is looking at her gift with such pure joy!

Today is inauguration day and I am filled with such hope for this country. I have been so stressed over the economy, especially living where I live. We have been hit so hard by things. My husband has been laid off more than he has worked this last year. I know they say feast or famine with the union, but this is getting to be a little too much famine. I am praying that he has more work this year. My job has also been hit really hard and I don't know from one day to the next on if I will have a job the next day. We rely heavily on the automotive industry, which of course in in shambles right now.

I have complete faith in Barack Obama. Now if we can just get congress on board and stop all the in-house nitpicking, maybe, just maybe, this country can come together as one and pull us out of this economic disaster.
